In an unfortunate turn of events the weather turned warm again and I came home to a broken air conditioner yesterday. If I were any where other than the south this might not be a big deal but being that we don't have much of a fall here it is still quite toasty and muggy. In honor of the stagnant air in our house I thought I would look into the world of the obsolete hand fan. No one uses these much except for costumes but wouldn't it be fun if we could all walk around with these elaborate accessories!
